State of Business Concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19)

To Customers, Suppliers and Business Acquaintances,

I am writing to you in times of unprecedented uncertainty, of which we are all affected, disrupted and concerned by. At QPE, we are dedicated and committed to everything that we do, with employee safety and product quality both being of paramount importance.

As manufacturers of critical electronic parts, we appreciate our customers’ needs for supply chain security. At the time of writing, we are committed to running as much production as physically possible. This is of course subject to the safe delivery of components to our facility.

We are working tirelessly with our suppliers to ensure that if any supply chain delays do occur, we know as soon as possible and are able to resource or discuss the potential impact with our customers.

All members of staff whose presence on site is not absolutely imperative for the safe running of machinery and completion of production processes are now working from home. This includes, but is not limited to, our sales representatives, business administrators, accountants and purchasing team. Management at QPE are fully supportive of our employees working flexibly, in order to facilitate childcare or other priorities where necessary.

All non-critical meetings have been postponed, including all customer/supplier site visits.

Members of staff who are continuing to work at the QPE site are being strictly instructed to work in accordance with the following rules:

  • To remain at least 2 metres from any other member of staff at all times.

  • To avoid any physical contact with any other member of staff, including handshakes.

  • To regularly and routinely wash hands (for at least 20 seconds).

  • To keep any shared surfaces or objects to a minimum.

  • If any member of staff begins displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (as outlined by the government), they are to inform management immediately and remove themselves from the site.

These actions are all aimed at minimising the risk to our employees and ensuring continuity of key functions of the business.

These policies are subject to change on a daily basis and are in strict adherence to government guidelines.

If you have any questions concerning our approach, or if QPE can support you in any way, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Stay safe and look after yourselves,

Russell Dillon
